    Where to stay

    Neighborhood guide

Sector 2 is one of Bucharest's six administrative sectors rather than a separate city, covering the northeastern part of the capital. It mixes older residential streets with socialist-era housing and includes several of the city's lakes.

    What to see

    Timed to the light

The chain of lakes along the Colentina in the north of the sector, including Herăstrău and Tei, are the main green spaces. The Village Museum, an open-air collection of houses moved from across Romania, sits by Herăstrău park, and the historic centre and parliament building are in the neighbouring sectors.
