Miguel Hidalgo is a central borough of Mexico City covering Polanco, Chapultepec and the western business districts, and it holds much of the city's most expensive real estate. It is where a large share of visitors stay, well served and within reach of the major museums.
Chapultepec park, one of the largest urban parks in the Americas, sits within the borough and holds the castle and the National Museum of Anthropology, which is among the finest museums of its kind anywhere. Polanco is the city's principal restaurant and shopping district, and the Soumaya museum's silver-clad form is a landmark nearby.
Several metro lines and Metrobús corridors serve the borough, and the park and Polanco are walkable once you are there. Traffic on the main avenues is heavy, and cycling infrastructure has improved considerably.
